Graduation Distinctions

Students are required to complete the College Prep Course Work in addition to the requirements below.

Valedictorian Requirements

  • 28 ACT or higher AND a Minimum Weighted GPA of 4.0
  • 4 units of English | 4 units of Mathematics | 4 units of Social Studies | 4 units of Science
  • Science must be one of the following: Anatomy, Forensics, Physics, or College Level with a Lab
  • Math must be one course above Algebra II
  • Students will be awarded a White Robe at Graduation

Salutatorian Requirements

  • 23 ACT or higher AND a Minimum Weighted GPA of 4.0
  • 4 units of English | 4 units of Mathematics | 4 units of Social Studies | 4 units of Science
  • Science must be one of the following: Anatomy, Forensics, Physics, or College Level with a Lab
  • Math must be one course above Algebra II
  • Students will be awarded a White Robe at Graduation

4×4 Requirements

  • Students who meet the specified requirements will be recognized as Graduates of Distinction. Advanced placement classes AND/OR concurrent classes in the subject areas may be substituted on a course-by-course basis to satisfy the academic units required
  • 4 units of English | 4 units of Mathematics | 4 units of Social Studies | 4 units of Science
  • Students will be awarded a Black Robe at Graduation
The Valedictorian / Salutatorian GPA requirements will be taken at the end of the first semester of 12th grade.
Your final opportunity to take the ACT toward your academic status will be the February ACT date of your 12th-grade year.
*Any student who receives a WF, or F will not be considered for a Graduation of Distinction (4×4), Salutatorian, or Valedictorian
